Our father, Walter Holmes, was a fit and very active man well into his late seventies.  He especially loved to walk for long distances, take holidays abroad and tinker with his car. As a father to 6 children and numerous grandchildren he was always willing to help fix cars and take long walks.  Parkinson’s stole those simple pleasures from him and his wife Ellen, who cared for him constantly thoughout his illness. Giving towards a cure for this insidious illness will benefit not only all sufferers but their families who lose their love ones to the illness in life as well as death
